Santa Cruz Sticker Concept - This sticker features the UCSC slug mascot and a skateboard for the Santa Cruz Company. The background is also the inspiration for the large Santa Cruz forests.
Keith Haring Portrait - In this portrait, I chose Times New Roman, a serif typeface, as the font for a specific reason. It’s a basic, simple, and standard choice, which contrasts with Keith Haring’s unique, non-mainstream style as an artist. By combining the simplicity of a font with the vibrancy and unpredictability of Haring’s work, I believe it adds a layer of complexity to my piece. Haring wasn’t a formal artist—his art was free, unbound, and often chaotic. Times New Roman, in contrast, is structured and conventional. But even though they’re opposites, together they create something artistic, showing that contrasting styles can still come together to make something meaningful.
